RBC Gateway project in Minneapolis on Schedule

We are pleased to report that the construction of the RBC Gateway project in Minneapolis, Minnesota remains on schedule to be completed in 2022! At Smallwood, we rely on strong partnerships to help our clients unlock the full potential of their projects. Together with United Properties, Smallwood and its team of 30 engineers and specialty consultants designed this 37-story mixed-use project through collaborative planning and a continuous spirit of teamwork.  

This vertically stacked mixed-use project will offer a new home to RBC’s Wealth Management U.S. headquarters in approximately 500,000 square feet of Class A office space and will include a Four Seasons Hotel and luxury branded residences, a public plaza and street-level amenities throughout. McGough Construction is currently pouring the level 17 floor slab and installing the exterior glazing system on the lower levels.

The construction team’s dedicated management of on-site conditions and their strict adherence to health and safety protocols have helped keep the project moving forward smoothly. The building is expected to “top out” at its full height in August 2021.
