Gary E. Greene, AIA


Gary Greene has been in professional practice since 1980 with significant experience in the Planning, Design Implementation and Design Management of a broad range of project types throughout Asia, the Middle East and the United States.

He joined the firm as a designer in the Atlanta office in 1980. In 1994, Gary moved to the Singapore office as Director of Design and was appointed as Principal in 1999. From the SRSS Singapore office, Gary has built an exceptionally talented multinational design team and has led the management and expansion of the firm’s international practice throughout Asia and the Middle East.

In Asia, this has included numerous projects throughout China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.  

In the Middle East, this has included numerous projects throughout the region, in locations such as Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tanzania and the United Arab Emirates. 

Under Gary’s leadership, the SRSS Singapore office has diversified into two separate coordinated design studios respectively for Architecture & Master Planning and Interior Design, together offering a world-class team of design professionals with extensive experience and capabilities in Architectural Design, Interior Design and Master Planning of Hotels and Resorts, Multifamily, Office, Retail and Mixed Use projects for our international clients worldwide.

Smallwood did a marvelous job and should be proud of designing not only India’s largest hotel but the World’s largest LEED® Platinum hotel as well. We were fortunate to also have Gary Greene’s personal involvement. His commitment to delivering what Smallwood promised needs to be complimented.”
