Breathing New Life into a Piedmont Cornerstone

12th & Everything is a proposed mixed-use adaptive-reuse project located on the northwest corner of the intersection of 12th Street and Piedmont Ave NE; a prime location in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. The site houses two existing structures. The 1084 Piedmont building will be repurposed as a food and beverage business. New construction will facilitate dining area expansion to include an outdoor, second-floor terrace. A transparent canopy structure will top the proposed 1084 Piedmont terrace. An elevator and exterior metal stair will provide access to the space. The exterior treatment of the new addition will incorporate materials and stylistic design elements found in some of the original structures in Piedmont Park that remain from the 1895 Cotton States Exhibition world’s fair.  

The northern part of the site, the 1094 Piedmont building, will be renovated to accommodate a conference room and retail space. The exterior will be restored and preserved. Fresh landscaping, concrete pavers, and gravel-infilled areas will polish the exterior space, with ample outdoor seating along Piedmont Avenue and 12th Street creating a bustling, pedestrian-friendly environment.
