171 17th Street

Atlanta, Georgia

First of Its Kind

171 17TH Street was the first office tower built at Atlanta’s landmark brownfield redevelopment, Atlantic Station. In addition to being located within a remediated brownfield, the site for this mixed use development features a well-developed public transportation network that improves connectivity within the community. Additionally, the architectural design of the building followed high standards for an environmentally sound design.

This 21-story, 563,000 SF office building sits on a prominent urban site at the west end of the 17TH Street Bridge. The project features three levels of parking below the office tower with a loading dock at the lowest level of parking.

The project was awarded Silver certification in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Core and Shell Development program by the U.S. Green Building Council. The office tower is the first LEED® Silver Core & Shell certified high-rise office building in the world and the first high-rise office building in Georgia to receive any LEED® certification.

"Gil’s team is the very best at integrating excellent design with the practical challenges of production, budget, and schedule -- a truly crucial quality in a developer’s architect."
