Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Headquarters

Atlanta, Georgia

Timeless Classic

The Federal Reserve Bank Complex has preserved the largest tract of non-park green space in Midtown Atlanta. The layered design of landscape and hardscape responds to the bank’s security needs, while simultaneously meeting the goals and standards of the Blueprint Midtown and the Urban Land Institute.

The common thread connecting the four unique site frontages is a classic treatment of alternating elm trees and decorative street lights along a broad sidewalk. The landscaping along the main eastern façade provides a grand north-south axial connection. This formal space reinforces the geometry of the building with two sunken grass parterres, anchored by large Yoshino Cherry trees. A bosque of elms provides shade over a public plaza paved with Georgia granite and furnished benches and flowers.

"I just wanted to let you know that we have found SRSS’ project management, programming, design, production, and contract administration services to be of superior quality."
