Smallwood is a growing the interior design studio specializing in innovative commercial, workplace, and multi-family environments. We are seeking a creative, experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team and lead projects from initial concept through construction administration. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial interior projects of all sizes from concept to construction administration.
  • Lead client presentations and coordinate with architectural, MEP, and structural consultants.
  • Develop full construction document sets (floor plans, RCPs, elevations, detailing).
  • Lead FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment) specification and procurement projects
  • Manage and mentor junior design staff.
  • Review technical documentation.
  • Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and code compliance requirements. 

Qualifications:

  • 7 to 10 years of professional experience in commercial interior design (workplace, corporate, tenant design).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • NCIDQ Certification preferred.
  • High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and MS Office.
  • Strong knowledge of code.
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently.
