Smallwood is a growing the interior design studio specializing in innovative commercial, workplace, and multi-family environments. We are seeking a creative, experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team and lead projects from initial concept through construction administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial interior projects of all sizes from concept to construction administration.
- Lead client presentations and coordinate with architectural, MEP, and structural consultants.
- Develop full construction document sets (floor plans, RCPs, elevations, detailing).
- Lead FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment) specification and procurement projects
- Manage and mentor junior design staff.
- Review technical documentation.
- Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and code compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience in commercial interior design (workplace, corporate, tenant design).
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- NCIDQ Certification preferred.
- High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of code.
- Proven ability to manage projects independently.
