Crowne Plaza Resort Phu Quoc

Smallwood's second project in Phu Quoc, the design brief was to ensure a cool contemporary resort aesthetic with subtle references to the locale of the island.

Given the location, Smallwood chose light oak as the main timber finish with polished ceramics to the floors and simple white paint on the walls. Jute rugs, rough-hewn timbers and subtle blues of the sea gave a relaxing resort aesthetic and was in keeping with the client’s very limited budget.
