Outstanding Views 

The Fairmont Hotel occupies a scenic 2.71-hectare island just off the eastern shore of Yangcheng Lake in Kunshan, China. As the only development on the island, the hotel enjoys unobstructed views in all directions. To the north is the open water of the lake, while to the east, south, and west are views of shoreline parks. Featuring a cascading water feature, the hotel drop-off is raised several meters above the surrounding landscape. At this elevation, guests entering the hotel lobby are presented with a panoramic view of a resort-style pool and the lake beyond. The drop-off for the hotel conference center is located at the northwest corner of the site.  
 
Outside the Grand Ballroom, pre-function rooms open onto an outdoor terrace overlooking the lake. On the roof of the ballroom, a landscaped courtyard provides additional outdoor function space. At the northeast corner of the site, removed from the traffic of the hotel and conference center, is the arrival court for the villas. Two villa types, Presidential and Ministerial, are surrounded by private gardens and pools.
