Distance Learning Capabilities Support an Innovative Program

The Georgia Institute of Technology Regional Engineering Program is a satellite campus consisting of three buildings located in Savannah, Georgia. This Design-Build project totaled an area of 114,700 GSF and included site development and parking. The buildings contain Civil and Structural engineering curriculum, computer laboratories, classrooms and administrative facilities. The project features advanced daylighting controls, shading devices and monitoring systems linked to the building lighting systems to maximize daylighting value and minimize energy costs.

Smallwood provided construction document services, and was the Architect of Record for this project, using a “bridging” contract arrangement.
