Center of Activity

Gateway is a mixed use development consisting of boutique retail shops, fine dining restaurants, second-floor office space and luxury residential apartments. A centrally located pedestrian plaza space comes to life with outdoor gathering and alfresco dining that caters to the restaurants.

Developing the outdoor environment into a walkable and activated space was critical in turning this urbanized neighborhood center into a destination.  Elevation changes, site walls, and fountains were utilized to protect the plaza environment from the noise of a very busy adjacent thoroughfare and ambient lighting and hospitality type outdoor seating arrangements were incorporated into the design to create a comfortable and memorable space for guests to linger longer.
